Casa Ajena is a series of digital photographs taken using a microscopic camera. The subjects of these photographs include things commonly found in households, such as the fibers of window screens and gravel from pavement surrounding a house, which have been altered due to focus and post-production color edits. The title alludes to defamiliarizing the familiar, in the context of a “new normal” emerging from the COVID-19 quarantine.
